You are caught up together with the rest of us, the conceited generation, in a specific game called “All dressed up, Inc.”, and you will soon realise that this story is going to bring the hidden aspects of society to display. This story will help you to qualify your reflections about your existence and maybe contribute to the maintenance of your competences in order to create a better life in the future.
Sternstunden
The German language has a brilliant expression, Sternstunden = star moments. A star moment is a moment in time when a person gains access to the wheel of fate and gets the opportunity to turn the development of his life in his preferred direction. The result is that it is impossible for his everyday life to return to its original state, and thereby a radical change has happened.
Star moments exist as a consequence of timing and the courage of taking action and making definitive choices. Sometimes you will make an excellent choice, other times you have to work with your choice to make it functional in the long term. Everyone will face these star moments at some points in his or her lifetime. The question is if we manage to catch them, act accordingly by recognizing these moments as star moments?
To catch a star moment and make the best of it, you need words and expressions to comprehend the moment and to put it into your context. Do we manage our star moments well? Do we notice them at all, or do they just vanish into thin air? Do we notice their effects on our existence? Where they come from and more importantly, where they could take us?

The basic hypotheses of this book is that we live in a pompous time where it is more important to be ‘dressed up’ according to the opinion of others, not to mention past expectations and norms, than it is to participate in the creation of our future.
The great tales in our post-modern era have long died and left a void in the field of possible identities. This void is slowly being filled with the greatest story of them all: “All dressed up, Inc.”. All dressed up, Inc. is the creator of true lies, and as actors in this story we only have infrequent access to the script; a script that recruits our souls and aggressively shapes our existences in the name of commerciality. With a narrow prospect we are driven through life by a hunger for meaning and appreciation.
